Hello friends!
As this is our first ever blog we thought it would be the perfect time to introduce ourselves and share our story of how the Crisps from Oklahoma became the island hopping SaltLife family....
We are a family of four from the landlocked state of Oklahoma and our love for the salty ocean is mighty!
We have been traveling as far back as we can remember and it's this passion for new cultures, destinations and exotic locations that led us to creating our Instagram page.
It all began back in May 2018, when we decided to open an account on the 'gram to document all our family vacations. Originally our account was set to private and we only shared our past trip memories with our nearest and dearest.
Soon our friends and family began to contact us to ask specific travel related questions; Where did we stay? Which restaurants did we recommend? Which beaches did we prefer? Etc.
We loved sharing these little nuggets of useful information and that is when we decided to make our account public and share more travel tips with others who may be interested.....
Little did we know that we would end up cultivating a like-minded community of travel families, make friends across the globe and be invited by tourism authorities to stay on beautiful islands throughout the Caribbean!
It's been a whirlwind adventure and we thank you for joining us on this ride of a lifetime!
We hope our new family blog will become a useful resource for you when you are planning your next trip and we hope our travel experiences will inspire you to visit some the amazing destinations we have fell in love with over the years.
